Wind Turbine Inspection (Renewables)

(UAV) Drone inspection Solutions for WTG Blades, Nacelle, Tower & TP

Drones For Wind Turbine Inspection

As the demand for renewable energy sources continues to grow, the need for efficient and effective wind turbine inspections becomes increasingly important. Traditionally, this has been done through manual inspections carried out by rope access, platforms or MEWPS which can be costly, time-consuming, and potentially hazardous.

Safer and More Cost-Effective Solutions with Drone Technology

Highland Access Ltd can provide a safer and more cost-effective solution. Our drone technology is equipped with high-resolution sensors, which allows for a detailed inspection of blades, towers & nacelles. Using a semi-autonomous system we can complete all 3 blades in under 30 minutes with minimal pilot input, while towers, nacelle & transition pieces are flown manually. This only requires the pilot and an AT if required to carry out the inspection.

Advantages of Using Drones for Inspections

Using drones for inspections offers several advantages. Firstly, it significantly reduces the need for technicians to climb the towers, which can be dangerous and time-consuming. By using drones, inspections can be completed quickly and with minimal disruption to the turbine’s operation. Additionally, drone inspections can provide a more comprehensive and accurate assessment of wind turbine’s condition. Our high-resolution sensors can detect even the slightest defects or damage.
